Argentina my love
Oh lovelies, guess what - this girl is jumping on a plane again tonight! Off to Portugal - she really is loving every split second of this life on the road! Exploring this special country on secret mission and can't wait to tell you what this is about! Leaving you with a sneaky peek of these two sweethearts, who's wedding I had the pleasure to photograph all the way over in Argentina earlier this year!
There's a little magic story behind this one, I still find it hard to believe, but maybe it helps to tell: When I started dancing Tango beginning of last year, the thought of spending some time in Buenos Aires, Argentina - the dance's birthplace & Tango-lover's mekka - quickly arose and I looked for ways to spend a few weeks there over the winter. After a while I got cold feet though. I had never been to South America, nor did I speak a word of Spanish and all on my own... I am sure you know this insecure voice in your head that is in charge of doubt - it kind of got the best of me.
Until one day I get an email. The kind of email you have to read three times and still don't believe it. It started quite normal "...we wanted to ask you whether you'd shoot our wedding in Febuary 2015..." I read and thought to myself - ah winter wedding it's gonna be freeeeezing cold... and then I read on "...in Mendoza."
M e n d o z a. What a magic word... Magic enough for me to jump off my seat and gasp for air! Mendoza is in Argentina and around Febuary was exactly the time I had initially planned on spending there! I couldn't believe it. And if you were to tell me this story I probabely wouldn't still...
I booked my flights the next day and yes - I had the time of my life and couldn't be more grateful for these two lovely people to give me the most wonderful reason to get over my fear and do it anyways. Adventures are fabulous, because they make you grow, they widen your horizon and - you can get a little addicted to them! So glad I have some fabulous adventures still in store this year!!
Portugal here I come! I'll try to bring back some sun for you guys!
